People nowadays are filled with many questions. You can’t fool them with empty promises. They have to see it first before believing. That’s why they prefer other people over a supreme being. People are visible. And they like seeing them. Even if they speak a different language or follow a different path, humans now chart their own course. The goal of their journey? A happy life. The time and place of arrival? Here and now.
The secular humanist ideology is more present in society today than ever before. However, we notice that its visibility in society struggles to gain traction. To change this, the Unie Vrijzinnige Verenigingen (UVV) decided in 2011 to launch deMens.nu and to introduce a coherent corporate identity associated with it.
deMens.nu is the umbrella organization of Secular Humanist Associations in Flanders and Brussels, offering secular humanist services to everyone who wishes it in de huizenvandeMens.
You can turn to them for information, a sympathetic ear, or for celebrating significant moments in your life, such as a birth celebration, a relationship ceremony, or a farewell ceremony.
